The district is well served by a network of good roads and has been called the motorists paradise. The chief roads emanating from Chatra town are -

Railway

               bullet.gif (920 bytes)Chatra can be approached from Gaya Railway station of Bihar. The boundaries of Chatra district on Gaya.                        Chatra is at Gosaindih about 40 Kms from Chatra.

               bullet.gif (920 bytes)Chatra is approachable from Koderma Railway station via Barhi, Chauparan, Itkhori distant at about 100 Kms.

               bullet.gif (920 bytes)The rail - line will pass through the Chatra district when Koderma - Ranchi via Hazaribagh railway line is                      completed   and it will touch three major villages of the district namely Majhgain , Bandgaon and Ratarua

              

Airways

 

              bullet.gif (920 bytes) The site selection for aerodrome is presently under process. At present, Chatra is not connected by airway. The                   nearest aerodrome is Gaya (International Airport) , Ranchi and Hazaribagh.
